Reality Check!

Texas Beef Cattle

Ranching is a dying industry, but it is full of driven and motivated individuals willing to put in long hours and hard work to care for the animals and produce beef for the country!

I know we are all working hard and trying to make the most of everyday and nailing it for the most part‼

But what if you could be nailing it even better?

Are there certain things consciously or SUBCONSCIOULY part of your life or ranching operation that are holding you back? 🤔

We've made a list of a few things we did wrong in the beginning and would NOT do again. I thought I would share them so maybe it will help you UP your ranching operation and stay in the game!

1. NOT having a written business plan and goals (We review these annually)

2. NOT keeping accurate records in a centralized location (We now use @cattlemax software)

3. NOT having a written vaccine protocol (We coordinate with our veterinarian for our specific region)

4. NOT tagging calves early. (Tagging calves as soon as possible after birth helps manage our productivity & fertility status)

Do you have things you would do differently or better in your operation? Let us know in the comments below! 👇
