Ranch Restoration

When Bryon and I first looked at this property this barn was still standing. At the time it was an adjoining property that just came up for sale. We snuck over to the property without the agent and were excited to find this old barn hidden in the woods.

We walked through it and tried to envision what all it was used for in the past because it had troughs for animals but it also had a stove pipe going up through the roof and a loft. By the time we bought the property, the barn had fallen. We were so sad! We knew immediately we wanted to restore it.

It took us a couple of years to obtain the entire property adjoining us because we bought it in stages. Now this barn is furthest most part of Farnash Creek Ranch near Craig Hill (one of the highest peaks in Hamilton County). We have since salvaged tin and wood and have used all over the ranch! We hope to use some of the wood in our new house!

It is about a 4 mile horseback ride from the main barn. We love riding out here and dreaming about what it will be again one day!
